Pinus monitcola
Western White Pines are fast-growing and can grow to be between 80 and 180 feet tall and 25 feet wide. Their brittle branches can be damaged by snow, wind, and ice. Throughout September and October, this pine sheds the needs that grew out the previous year. It is therefore important to pay caution to the fallen needles as they are dry and flammable. Western White Pine is Idaho's state tree. This seed stock is considered blister rust-resistant.
